London Underground 1967 Stock retires, and the future of the Victoria Line.
#1
On the very same day the KTM stopped operations, 11000km away, the last ever 1967 stock left Seven Sisters station for good.

What is so unique about the 67 is that it is the world's first ever ATO-equipped trains in the world in revenue service. And who developed it? London Underground in collaboration with the Westinghouse Brakes & Signals Co.. Sounds familiar? (Tip: First-generation platform screen doors Big Grin) (Source)

The ATO system from the Victoria Line was extremely basic, and over-runs were usual, leading to T/Ops (Train operators) having to push the controller into the emergency position just to avoid an over-run.

This very system was further developed into the NS-EWL's ATP system, and an inproved version of the MRT ATP was later installed on the Central Line. (Source)

The following two videos show two angles of the same departure:

In the second video at the end around 0:35, you will hear the sound of another train departing. What you have just heard is a 2009 stock, which is manufactured by Bombardier as part of its MOVIA family. (Tip: Think Downtown Line and the C951!)

With the last 67 stock out of the line, the signalling will be upgraded. The line is now completely served by the 47 2009 stock trains. You can read more about the Victoria Line in general, and about the upgrading works.

To end off, a video of a 2009 stock:
