Circle Line (CCL) Discussion
As of yesterday the tunnel leading to Marina Bay after Promenade is open (the walls were taken down). How about discussing about its progress? Tongue

Some people may have caught some photos, feel free to post.

I still don't know what purpose the future platforms in Promenade will serve, the station looks fine without aid of this two platforms, even after the extension opens...

EDIT: Okay I forgot that the Downtown Line is coming here too, apologies... :$

Willischong, if u mean the "Circle Line Stage 6" u could have meant the proposal to close the "missing link" between Harbourfront and Marina Bay or some other station beside Marina Bay.

I guess he should have referred it as the 'Circle Line Extension'?

Already open for quite a while, at least a month ago.

Isn't it CCLE? If it's stage 6, then it's the missing linkage from Marina Bay to Habourfront.

Cant wait for it to start operations Smile

DTL Promenade is getting its new station just beside the CCL Promenade. the old platforms are probably built for a pre Nicoll Highway incident future line Big Grin

Actually, the unused platforms at Promenade CCL is for the Circle Line extention, while the Downtown Line platforms are built (not directly) beside the Circle Line station.

So you still have to walk up to the concourse and back down to the platform if you are going to transfer at Promenade.
