Alstom didn't partner with CRRC. They chose Shanghai Electric.

I am putting my bets on Alstom. If not, Bombardier or CAF.

If it were to be a contract to replace C830s then yes I'll say with 98% certainty Alstom will clinch the contract. But Kawasaki/CNNR's biggest selling point that they have over all the other parties is Kawasaki's >30 years of experience with our NSEWL. That alone would be a very huge plus point for them when they (LTA) starts the process for the awarding of the tender.

If Nippon Sharyo or J-TREC (modern day Tokyu, one of the KHI manufacturers) were to be in the fight, imo they would still have a higher chance than Alstom.

Poll Opened. So instead of predicting who will win (I mean we all know most likely KSF will win), please vote for who you support to win. Poll will close when tender results are announced

Can dun vote? As in I do miss the original KHI and I tend to believe that PMSM motors as a End of life upgrade would be much better than a supposed new Trains.

So long as no Rotem will do since their Trains have even more serious problems in overseas.

And why isnt Siemens get shortlisted??

It is better to take C151s now as is more common for NSEWL usually. The trains are very old already and is time for the replacement after more than 30 years of operation.
