[Official - On Hold] North East Line 2.0 project thread
#61
Worked on escalators again.

This time, it's fully 3d with no transparent textures used. At 0:35, you can see that this object is modular: there is a module where the escalator starts, and 1m-deep modules to extend the escalator to the desired height.

Work on HarbourFront station is starting slowly.

Also, finished the top part of the escalator.

Expect slower progress updates, I'm splitting my time on weekends between this and other projects.

Worked on tunnels further today.

I wrote a script that uses ImageMagick to combine textures to make updating textures easier. I then tweaked the lighting (which were too bright), as well as introduced some fog to the tunnels.

Screenshots below, from top to bottom: Before lighting updates, after lighting updates, and with slight fog introduced.

NEL for openBVE is being put on-hold.

Instead, I'll be helping SMB142J with Circle Line, and implementing a custom train plugin (sgATC) for the route and the C830.

Someone can always pick up where the original developer has left off. I'd be more than happy to help and advice here and there if it happens.
