well sometimes you can only take what the media says with a pinch of salt. 

What IF SMRT changed its mind and took only one train (ie. 131F) away from service and trialled it for PMSM all these while? Information from the media MAY NOT always be 100% accurate and current. Who knows, ST info is not very current. 
 
Hence, for now, I would only think that there is one train missing from service and under PMSM trial and that is 131F. To find out which is the second train, we can only observe all the other KHI sets, whether on service, re-signalled and on service or completely missing for a long time.
