High chance it might be KSF again. I remember someone mentioning that Siemens has less spare parts compared to Kawasaki which supplies the majority of the NSEWL fleet.

I also hope KSF will win the C151C tender, as KSF has more experience in making the trains here. Parts can also be interchangable between the C151As, C151Bs and C151Cs, resulting in more spare parts.

Hyundai Rotem please. Since this is a small order, there is no harm trying a new manufacturer's metro trains.

Look at how the "small order" of 19 trains did back in 1996 LOL

KSF would be nice, spare parts cheaper and easier to find too

But that will make the fleet ultimately boring

Tender amount is out!

Hyundai Rotem: S$ 136,799,928.00 (Base)
KHI/KSF: S$159,840,000.00 (Base)
KHI/KSF: S$136,800,000.00 (Alternative)
CSR ZhuZhou: S$ 134,608,695.70 (Base)

Cheapest is of cos CSR Zhuzhou with Hyundai Rotem following behind. While the 2 KHI/KSF tender are the most expensive.

PS: Its kinda interesting to see CSR Zhuzhou and CSR Sifang both bidding though. They both have the same parent company and its interesting to see them "fighting" each other

^^maybe the parent company just want to have "all bases covered" and order them to bid.

In the new Era of transport, nothing has changed, at least visibly. Disruption still a regular, and perhaps the bus is slow and safe...

WOHOO! KAWASAKI HAS MOST EXPENSIVE BID! I'm sure LTA still take KSF cos they love KSF for some reason. Take Rotem plz!

KSF: Sian ah. Why always KHI/KSF???
Rotem: Yes. Like how they refurbished C151s.
ZhuZhou: Siemens usually partners with them so no.

LTA would choose Kawasaki because from what I have heard over the years, SMRT has loads of Kawasaki spare parts.
That's why you see the Siemens C651 being the only odd one out in the NSEWL fleet, with the rest being Kawasaki trains.

I doubt LTA would take any risk to go to another train manufacturer which they do not know as well as Kawasaki, especially being a Japanese brand, it does have some reputation.

Here's a flashback, LTA chose to buy the C151As even when Mitsubishi Corporation being the most expensive and Hyundai Rotem being the cheapest. So hence, there is a high chance that LTA will choose Kawasaki again.

Don't take this too seriously, these are just my opinions.
