Today,many Hong Kong commuters were affected in MTRC worst train service disruption when a signalling glitch hit four major lines during the morning peak hour on Tuesday (16/10/2018).

MTR Corporation's operation chief said that test of new signalling systems is not causes of distruption, the preliminary findings that likely was a software and settings issue.

There is a shooting incident at Shum Shui Po station this morning, it was started off when police questioned the man during a routine security search, the man pulled a 15cm knife from his backpack.
MTR plans to open some of the SCL stations like e.g. Tai Wai, Hin Keng and Diamond Hill before middle of next year, lawmaker Michael Tien says.

Something happened on 10/2 during midnight testing of new signalling systems on TWL.

One train invloved with Signal Pass at Danger(SPAD) cases when the train heading to turnback siding after it left Tsuen Wan station in auto mode, but it didn't stop at correct position. TC immediately applied the Emergency Brake but it overshot 1.5m from signal aspect.
Two trains collided near Central station during testing new signalling systems, resulting damaged the train body.
One of the M-Train hit the buffer stop on the 18/6, when the off service train heading for stabled at Admiralty siding.
MTR Corporation says mistakes made when implementing software on new signalling system caused two trains crash in March this year.
