No if you read that article properly

it mentions the number of trains bought to date from KHI

and realise that actually there are additional 78 cars (13 Trains) to the C151A Contract.

C151A is not C151B. There are 22 C151Bs

It is indeed ironic that the first official confirmation for additional 78 cars (13 formations) is from the manufacturer's mouth, not from SMRT nor LTA!

Well, in line with other companies' practices (overseas), additional cars by batch will not be an event of fanfare compared to brand new designed ones, in another words, new series. SMRT nor LTA announcing at this point of time has their reasons. i am of course glad that folks who know how to read Japanese like myself has an edge when it comes to such news. Of course when it comes to sharpening my language skills i do not mind translating the news release for folks here in a form of sharing and also to my language skill upgrading.

If you read the English site of KHI, the last news article is 31st July..

Think LTA has mentioned it indirectly saying there will be 13 new trains (Which we all previously assumed as BPLRT Trains or C151B)

For me definitely I will dislike 'Sifang' as it is too mainstream. C151A has made me a bad impression to the future trains built by Kawasaki/Sifang as the exterior is quite similar to C751Bs and interior same as C151s. Thinking if will future trains built by Kawasaki/Sifang will be "Copy and paste"?

Boring, it's better if LTA consider other manufacturer than "Sifang" so that it more variety of rolling stocks in Singapore.

Does T251 count?

Anyway, Sifangs are too mainstream and overly boring, given that they are all going to have somehow the same interior design, motor noise, weight (?), etc.

I really wish to see a variety if rolling stock manufacturers other than Sifang. Rolling stocks from Alstom and Bombardier have proven to me that they are reliable (C830C) and comfortable (C951 ergonomic seats).

I am sorry to say but my impression of KSFs has dropped to sub zero since they were introduced. Here is someone who would like to see a variety of rolling stock.
