I honestly prefer the door closing announcements to be played in the station. Changi Airport Skytrain is a good example. The new door closing chime better not pass it's trial.
well that would need a big new, communication system with the train announcement control panel in the TO Cabin to the PA System on the station. Thats going to cost a lot and its kinda going to take as long as building the HHPSD's on the elevated platforms.
Or alternatively, just set the announcement to play whenever the HHPSDs are about to close.

TM16 is very much right. In fact, tracks in the station are already hooked up by many communication systems. Adding speakers onto HHPSDs and FHPSDs will definitely enable this procedure to be carried out.
