Disscussion of C151C - A380Lover - 31 January 2015

Hi

Let's start the C151C disscussion. According to Straits Times reported, the C151C trains may have tip-up seats, which can be remotely locked up in a folded position via a push button, and passengers should not be able to fold them down when locked. Also have onboard Wi-Fi.

Tender called on 28 Nov 2014 and will be closed in 31 Mar 2015.

So do you think who will bid this contract?

RE: Disscussion of C151C - Mark4211 - 31 January 2015

I think, Kawasaki Heavy Industries & CSR Qingdao Sifang will bid this contract

RE: Disscussion of C151C - leonardtan - 31 January 2015

No more Kawasakis pls. Getting too mainstream. Why not stocks from other suppliers like Rotem, CAF, Bombardier or Alstom. Who knows, maybe these other supliers can produce better metro trains than Kawasaki though it may be a little costly.

RE: Disscussion of C151C - saffie730 - 31 January 2015

This one is just assume only as we didn't know will they using the PMSM motor or not. See how the PMSM trial successful or not.

Not necessarily must have PMSM. Who knows, maybe LTA at the last minute decided not to choose Japanese supplier anymore and go for other supplier instead. The motors and engines used by the other trains on the new lines are just as good.

RE: Discussion of New NSEWL C151C Train - nakanoben - 31 January 2015

There is still a very high chance that KHI/SIFANG Consortium will win though

For the future delivery list, it should be under "Train & Station Happenings" thread instead?
