You can edit the car length in the extensions file to "join" the carriages together.

RE: Edited C751A gangway problem - Seangwong - 29 September 2012

Car 1: 23.5
Car 2: 23
Car 3: 23.5

so what do u propose the lengths?

Try car 2 by increasing the values (I suggest with values between 23 - 29). I'm not sure if this will work but this will require trial and error

Aren't those the codes for the default NSEWL trains? The C751A has a different car length from them. It's gonna need patience to find the correct lengths through trial and error. And codes can range between 18 to 26. 29 is a little too long for it.

Length means how long a particular carriage would be and will tell the game to join the carriages together according to the length given. Both front/back heads should be 23.65m and the middle carriage, 22.8m. IF you don't understand my English, please have a look below.

Replace the file names if necessary.
Code:
; Alstom Metropolis C751A files
; Car properties configuration
; By and © Joey Foo (joeyfjj)

[Car0]
Object = extensions\exterior\0.animated
Length = 23.65
Axles = -9, 9

[Coupler0]
Distances = 0.5, 0.5

[Car1]
Object = extensions\exterior\1.animated
Length = 22.8
Axles = -9, 9

[Coupler1]
Distances = 0.5, 0.5

[Car2]
Object = extensions\exterior\5.animated
Length = 23.65
Axles = -9, 9
Reversed = True

This is because there's a "north" and a "south" pole on my gangway files. One of them has the panel at the back, the other does not.

Open the file 5.animated (or the animated file that contains your last car).

In Line 5, change the reference to gangway_b.csv to gangway_a.csv.

Code:
1  [Include]
2  DT_ext.csv
3  Dt_int.animated
4  end.csv
5  gangway_b.csv //Change this to gangway_a.csv
6  grabpoles.animated
7  bogie.animated
8  Position = 0, 1.1, -0.425

Does it work?
